1. White Travertine Grading
White Travertine is highly sought after for its refined, ivory-like tone. It is rarer than beige travertine and requires meticulous block selection to ensure a pure, bright base color. We grade the blocks heavily on their structural integrity and lack of muddy mineral deposits.
2. Linear vs. Cross-Cut Veining
Depending on how the block is cut, White Travertine can display distinct parallel veins (vein-cut) or a subtle, cloudy pattern (cross-cut). For cylindrical vases, trays or geometric plinths, vein-cut is often selected when directional lines are part of the product brief.
3. Interior Applications & Care
Due to its light color, White Travertine is highly susceptible to staining if left untreated. We can apply transparent sealers according to the product use case while maintaining its pale surface. It is suitable for dry applications like decorative trays, sculptures and side tables.
Sourcing Note
White travertine's availability can fluctuate; we recommend forecasting volume needs early for large brand programs.
